Local author Carroll McMahan spotted a picture of me in the newspaper on Sunday. The News Sentinel included a supplement to promote an exhibit at the East Tennessee Historical Society called Reading Appalachia: Voices from Children’s Literature. Last month, Mary Pom Claiborne of the Knox County Library invited me to submit something for the supplement.
