Jeff Dye made me feel a little better about prank shows. As you’ll see in my interview with Jeff on the Classic Hits 93.1 Comedy Couch, I sympathized with the victims on his MTV show, Money from Strangers. Here’s the clip I watched while preparing for the interview:
I felt bad for the owners and managers of the retail locations where the messy pranks took place. Jeff explained how they get permission to film in the store or restaurant. It’s devious but not dishonest. The store owner has the opportunity to say no.
I also enjoyed Jeff’s story about his time as the neon-shirt guy on Last Comic Standing in 2008. He finished in third place. You can watch our interview here and you can catch Jeff at Side Splitters Comedy Club this weekend.
