Albert Haynesworth is best known for playing football with the Vols, the Titans and the Redskins. Therefore, I assume he knows a thing or two about being a carnivore. This week, he opened a gourmet burger restaurant on the Cumberland strip.
I went on a sales call with two co-workers this afternoon. After the meeting, we drove to the new Burger Fi franchise location for lunch. One of the first things you notice is that the buns are branded with the name of the restaurant.
The meat is, in fact, delicious. I ordered the basic Burger Fi burger, which comes with lettuce, tomato and Burger Fi sauce. You get two more condiments for free. I chose pickles and grilled onions. One of my colleagues ordered fries with salt and vinegar.
Parking will be a challenge at the new location. The parking spaces along the side of the restaurant are reserved for guests of a nearby hotel and another restaurant. Burger Fi customers have to park in a small garage under the building. Getting out of the garage is harder than getting in. Fortunately we were leaving around 2:40 p.m. when traffic was light.
