Last year, the annual All Saints Adult Social was held on May 3. This year it will be held on Friday, May 2. However, there seemed to be less preparation time because Easter was three weeks later than last year. I’m still working on the game show questions.
The response to last year’s Classic Game Show night was great. Shortly thereafter, the Parish Life Committee asked me to do the same thing again this year. I will host spoofs of the Match Game, the Newlywed Game and Let’s Make a Deal in which members of the audience can win great prizes. Here’s a photo from last year:
The panelists for the Match Game will be Fr. Michael Woods and Fr. Miguel Velez of All Saints; Kristin Farley of WATE; Michele Silva of WVLT and Fr. Ragan Schriver, who teaches in the College of Social Work at the University of Tennessee. Fr. Ragan was assigned to All Saints for many years and still has a lot of friends there.
The All Saints Adult Social is held next door at Knoxville Catholic High School. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased online. The money goes to support the many free activities the parish holds throughout the year.
