Ask Any Mermaid

On Fridays during Lent, Catholics become pesco-lacto-ovo-vegetarians. We can eat fish, cheese or eggs but not poultry, beef, pork, lamb or several other meats. I will often have a can of tuna and salad greens for lunch. My wife prefers salmon, as you can see here.

Pop-culture fans remember when Jessica Simpson was criticized for not knowing that Chicken of the Sea is a brand of tuna. She wondered if there was chicken or fish in the can.

If tuna is the chicken of the sea, what is salmon? The turkey of the sea? The pheasant of the sea? How can they put salmon in a package and still call it the chicken of the sea?
