Fr. Michael Woods had some good news. He texted me a picture of the certificate All Saints Catholic Parish received from the Knoxville News Sentinel’s Readers Choice awards. The parish is a runner-up in the Favorite Place of Worship category behind Cokesbury UMC.
All Saints is the largest Catholic parish in the Diocese. Nevertheless, it’s still surprising to see a Catholic church receive enough votes to make the top three. Catholics only make up a little over two percent of the East Tennessee population.
