A package of dried figs was my contribution to a Christmas Eve party today. They were rather chewy but the guests seemed to enjoy them. At the end of the party, there were eight figs left over. I took four and my daughter took the other four.
I looked up “how to serve dried figs” and found several recipes. I also found some folks who rehydrate the figs by placing them in orange juice or boiling water. When I went to grab the orange juice, I noticed some other beverages. As an experiment, I put one fig in drinking water, one in orange juice, one in apple cider and one in apple-pie flavored moonshine. I plan to try all of them on Christmas morning. Which one do you think will be the best?
