Christmas is still 37 days away but I’ve been listening to Kelly Clarkson’s Wrapped in Red Radio Special and loving it. The show was made available to radio professionals by a service called Play MPE®. Stations all across the country will download the show and air it at their convenience.
During the hour-long show, Kelly tells the story behind the writing, recording or selection of each of the tracks. She says it’s her favorite of all her albums because she wasn’t boxed in to a single genre. The songs are rock, country, religious, contemporary pop and pop standards. She mentioned that Elvis was one of the few artists who had that freedom to record multiple genres of music.
