Fortunately Congress prevented a helium crisis that had me concerned about the balloons in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The lineup for the parade won’t be announced until October 28 but I couldn’t wait to find out which new balloons will debut this year. A little bit of Internet research has helped me figure out four of the newbies.
- Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon
- Finn and Jake from Adventure Time
- The Wizard’s hot air balloon from The Wizard of Oz
- A new version of Snoopy from Peanuts.
This must be the seventh Snoopy balloon. According to Wikipedia, the sixth version debuted in 2006.
