The Sun’ll Come Out Mañana

The HoLa Festival got rained out on Saturday. Fortunately, the festival organizers thought fast and made arrangements to reschedule the Festival for Sunday on Market Square.

During the Parade of Nations, I spotted an impressive headdress that looked like a bearded face. I also saw Mayor Madeline Rogero snapping pictures with her phone.

For lunch, I had a tasty chicken and rice bowl from the Honduras booth. For dessert, I bought a dulce de coco from the Puerto Rico booth without knowing what it was. I thought the name meant “sweet chocolate” but it actually meant “sweet coconut.” The dish consisted of coconut chunks in a sweet chocolate sauce. On Twitter, I asked festival-goers to check on me in case I slipped into a dulce coma.
