During Stephanie Richer’s encounter with Cardinal Timothy Dolan, she asked if he gave a blessing to the New York Football Giants after their most recent loss. He responded that he thought he’d have to give them an anointing. The funny story and photos are on Stephanie’s blog.
Stephanie was one of the official photographers at the Diocese of Knoxville’s Eucharistic Congress last weekend. I met her a few months ago when she took a series of great pictures at the pre-prom party for Alex Notte and pro-golfer Belén Mozo.
I scrolled through Stephanie’s photos last night, looking for one shot in particular. I remember seeing Stephanie point the camera at my wife as she was leading the psalmody during morning prayer. Stephanie also got a picture of me somberly announcing that cell phones should be muted and that chewing gum was not allowed in the hall.
