When the screen on my Chromebook failed last month, I called Samsung and asked them what to do. They told me to pack it up in something other than the original box and send it to them, using a pre-paid UPS shipping label. They said I should keep the original box because of all the information on the outside, such as the serial number.
My wife dropped off the box at UPS a couple of days before we drove to the Washington area. Samsung emailed me updates throughout the week. They received the shipment on July 31. They completed the repair and shipped it back to me on August 2. UPS delivered it to me at 7:00 p.m. on August 6. The warranty covered the cost of everything and the new screen works perfectly.
I found a video by a business called Screen Surgeons that gives me a fairly good idea of how Samsung might have fixed my Chromebook. It was weird to see them disassemble a Chromebook that looks just like mine.
