There was no way I could not order the most unusual item on the menu at The Pub & Restaurant in Gettysburg. Their Black & Bleu Burger consists of ground beef mixed with chocolate morsels, topped with a bleu cheese crumble sauce and served on a pretzel roll.
Perhaps I was hankering for chocolate after seeing two items in the bookstore at Gettysburg National Military Park. They sold fudge that allows you to “take home a taste of the battlefield.” They also sold large chocolate bars embossed with the Gettysburg sesquicentennial logo. I imagine that the typical customer might be a vacationing family who stopped off for a history lesson before visiting Hersheypark and just couldn’t wait for some chocolate.
