All Aboard

In the weeks leading up to the fourth annual outdoor mass at All Saints Catholic Church, Fr. Michael asked parishioners to inconvenience themselves. He pointed out that we happily spend three hours in the rain, the heat or the cold to watch a football game. He wanted us to spend an hour and a half at the outdoor mass. As it turned out, the beautiful weather made it not very inconvenient at all.

The celebration has become an annual tradition that started in 2010. I served as one of the lectors that first year and again today. This time, the readings were proclaimed in Spanish and English. In his homily, Fr. Michael said that the gospel message was that it takes strength to pass through the narrow gate into heaven.
