Dr. Al Hazari was the guest speaker at the April meeting of the FBI Knoxville Citizens Academy Alumni Association on Monday. He gave us some of the highlights from his forensic chemistry summer camp for middle-schoolers. This year’s camp meets June 10 to 14 at the University of Tennessee.
We put our lip prints on index cards and our fingerprints on balloons, which we inflated to get a better view. Although I had done it before, I still enjoyed making a DNA model from Twizzlers and mini-marshmallows.
