Apparently the Easter Bunny is happy that Trader Joe’s opened a store in Knoxville. My wife and I each got TJ treats in our shared Easter basket. My wife received Almond Bark Thins and Rosemary Marcona Almonds. I was happy to see Dark Chocolate Covered Marshmallows and Fig Butter. I had never heard of fig butter before Sunday morning. Given my relatively new love for figs, I’m looking forward to trying it soon.
I am still considering buying a small fig tree and attempting to grow my own fruit. During a Google Hangout with our kids on Sunday night, my wife and daughter both discouraged me from attempting horticulture. Perhaps my one success in keeping a shamrock alive for a year (so far) has made me overconfident after a lifetime of failure with house plants. Many years ago I bought a little orange tree for our backyard in Burbank but that died too.
