Back in the ’90s, one of the biggest interview “gets” during my time at KLOS was baseball slugger Mark McGwire. We gave him a KLOS hat, which he then wore during a photo shoot and interview with USA Today.
When big stars came in for interviews on the Mark & Brian show, photographer TJ Jones would set up a backdrop and shoot pictures of the celebrities before they left. He was looking at some old negatives yesterday and emailed three shots that he found.
Meeting Marie Osmond was a big deal. She was as sweet as you would imagine. Actor Christopher McDonald became a friend of the show. I also cast him in one of the live radio dramas we did at Christmas time. TJ promised to send along any other interesting photos of me. I can hardly wait.
