I play the Governor in two of the performances at the Oak Ridge High School Performing Arts Center. You can see me dance erratically on Saturday, November 17 at 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday, November 18 at 2:00 p.m. I played the same part last year. After the toast, my partner and I waltz across the stage, crashing twice. This year, Jenny Collins will play the Governess.
This time around, I get to wear the costume that I almost got to wear last year. Originally, ORCBA used the blue and tan suit for the Mouse King. When I learned it was available this year, I claimed it. Last year, I gave my character a little bit of extra business during the party scene. Director Molly Koon Quist said I should once again show lots of enthusiasm when the boys scare the girls with toy mice.
