As a joke, I should start referring to my wife as the First Lady of the FBI Knoxville Citizens Academy Alumni Association. She covered for me on Sunday when my coughing and sneezing prevented me from attending the Star 102.1 Trick or Treat Trail at Zuma Fun Center. Like 2010 and 2011, the radio station gave the Association a spot along the trail.
As FBIKCAAA president, I solicited candy donations from the membership prior to our last meeting. Three members volunteered to distribute the candy along with child I.D. kits from the American Football Coaches Association. I put the candy and the I.D. kits in my car, assuming that I would be there too.
Treasurer Pat Payne obtained some crime-scene tape and a plastic skeleton. I love the way she decorated our spot along the miniature golf course. Her placement of the bones was closer to reality than any Halloween skeleton you see inexplicably hanging from a tree.
