Roy G. Bug

The animals in my backyard that interest me most are mammals, reptiles and amphibians. Last week was the first time I spotted a groundhog on my property. Occasionally a bird, such as a hawk, will fascinate me. Recently, I found a dead insect that had such amazingly vibrant colors I had to grab my camera.

brightly colored Florida Predatory Stink Bug retrieved from my pool in Knoxville, TN I used my Google skills to determine what kind of  bug it was. In the course of my research, I was amused to find websites named “What’s That Bug?” and  “BugGuide”. Imagine my disappointment to learn that I held a Florida Predatory Stink Bug. The words predatory and stink dismayed me although fans of the Tennessee Volunteers will be offended by the word Florida too.

Your hands look kind of dry. We need to moisturize. 😉

The photo is so clear that the FBI could use it to eliminate you from a suspect list.
