Traveling during autumn means seeing campaign signs for local elections that don’t affect me. In recent years, I’ve spotted signs in Missouri and Virginia that rated a mention on my blog. I saw a weird one in Charlottesville this month.
The campaign signs for Rep. Robert Hurt make his name look like an imperative verb. Surely there is a better way of phrasing it. Maybe “Re-elect Robert Hurt,” “Vote for Congressman Hurt,” “Live in Hurt? Vote for Hurt!” or “Remember William Hurt? I have the same last name.”
