The Heat Is On

members of the FBI Knoxville Citizens Academy Alumni Association tour the Gentry-Griffey crematory Jerry Griffey of the Gentry-Griffey Funeral Chapel offered some nice words of welcome to the members of the FBI Knoxville Citizens Academy Alumni Association and their guests on Thursday. He also asked if we wanted to tour their new crematory. It was no surprise to me that everyone said yes. Funeral director Bryan McAdams led the tour.

As president, I had arranged for the Association’s monthly meeting to be held at the Fountain City facility after interviewing manager Eric Botts about the crematory. Several complaints have been voiced by neighbors who are unaware of how clean modern crematory emmisions are. The staff at Gentry-Griffey realizes that their greatest ally is the truth. They were more than happy for our members to see the crematory.

Frank Murphy visits Gentry-Griffey crematory box of removed medical implants at Gentry-Griffey crematory I took my own look around before the meeting began. Their cremator is a very large unit, able to handle bodies up to 1,000 pounds. When they opened the oven door, I could feel the intense heat, even though the unit was empty at the time. After posing for a photo, I spied a box from Implant Recycling with a few pacemakers and an artificial hip inside.
