Based on my what I saw two years ago at Yellowstone National Park, I’m surprised more people aren’t gored by bison. As my wife and I waited for Old Faithful to erupt, two bison walked through the area.
This past Saturday, a Massachusetts man was gored by a bison at Yellowstone. Reports indicate that he did not taunt the animal but that he didn’t get out of the way either. The park rangers warn you to stay at least 100 yards away from a bison.
Yellowstone is one of several places I would like to revisit in the future, partly because of the wildlife we saw. My wife and I saw even more bison last year when we visited Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota and Custer State Park in South Dakota. I would happily revisit the Dakotas too.
What places would you like revisit after having been there only once?
