Tails, We Win

Lobsters come from Maine, right? I’ve enjoyed the tasty cold-water crustaceans since I was a toddler. Over the weekend a friend wanted to show my family how they do lobsters where he grew up in Miami.

Caribbean lobster tails & peaches before grilling Caribbean lobster tails coming off the grill The Caribbean lobster tails he purchased at The Shrimp Dock were huge. They were also delicious. We grilled them over direct heat, along with some peaches.

Since our dinner, I have had a vague recollection of a Caribbean lobster cartoon character. Or maybe it was a Muppet. I’m not having much luck finding it on the Internet. Any suggestions?

Are you thinking of the the lobster Sebastian from Disney’s The Little Mermaid?

  2. Frank Murphy says:

I believe Sebastian is a crab, but he is Caribbean! The characters I’m thinking of have long spiny antennae on the front of their heads.

    Sigmund and the Sea Monsters?

Wait, what am I thinking? Sea Monsters are horrible grilled, they are best over indirect heat and they were NOT Caribbean…….
