Sopranos have a special place in my heart. I’m married to one. I love to hear my wife sing at church and as a member of the Knoxville Choral Society. She’s been diligently rehearsing for this week’s performances with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra. I know I will enjoy Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9.
My father listened to a lot of classical music albums. As a result, all the tunes on Monday’s “Dancing With the Stars” were familiar to me. I posted a few comments on Twitter about how much I was enjoying the broadcast, especially the guest singer. I didn’t realize at the time that I had seen Katherine Jenkins singing “Silent Night” on NBC in December.
