Drinking Games

What’s are the differences between “Drew Carey’s Improv-A-Ganza” and “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” Entertainment Weekly’s joke was: “Whose Line Is It Anyway? – 80 lbs. = this show.” The improvisers on Monday’s debut were all familiar faces from the old ABC show. The improv games were classic. However the audience for the new show were enjoying adult beverages, as seen in this segment:

When Ryan Stiles and Jonathan Mangum begin a scene at a Belgian bed and breakfast, they instinctively know to play guest and innkeeper, as opposed to two guests. It’s easy to fall into the trap of having the same perspective as your co-star in an improv scene.

I’ve been looking forward to Improv-A-Ganza for the past month. The HD video quality on my computer is better than the SD video on my TV. I called my service provider today to ask them to consider adding GSN in high def as soon as possible. Improv-A-Ganza is on GSN weeknights at 8:00 p.m. with rebroadcasts at 11:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.
