Zip It Good

Wahoo Ziplines gave away passes every hour at Boomsday. I was getting ready to announce the next winner’s name when Brian Benson asked when I was going to give it a try. Coincidentally, my wife and I had made plans to go to Dollywood the next day so I asked, “how about tomorrow?” Brian set us up with a complimentary 9:00 a.m. appointment so we would still have plenty of time to visit the theme park afterward. They are offering a deep discount this week via Star 102.1’s website.

The weather was perfect on Monday. My wife and I had fun on the six different ziplines. Our guides, Lincoln and Ionel, made sure everyone had a great time. Their expertise kept us safe and worry-free. By the time we got to the fourth line, most of us were ready to be a little more adventurous. I rode upside-down for a few seconds by leaning back and putting my feet on the rope where my hands would normally go. On the fifth line, my wife and I rode in tandem. The sixth line is actually two parallel lines, which allowed me to race my wife to the landing platform.
